I finished my May Bead Journal. The white cat is our cat, Jazzy. The black cat is a male cat from our neighbourhood that has just started coming around to our house sometimes. Jazzy always hisses at him and tries to get him to go. But he just ingores her, goes straight up to her, meows, and goes and finishes off her dinner.
Now onto June. I'm running behind, I still need to do February, March and April. I'm thinking that I will try to keep up now with each month and then try to fit these in.

This is absolutely the most delightful piece I've seen in a long time. I love every element -- the smiles on the kitties (yours trusting and loving, the black imp a bit mischievous!), the filigree appearance of the element in the sky, and the house also has a face! The encrusted greenery along the bottom, the swirl of the sky -- well, I could go on and on. Everything about it is whimsical and wonderful!
This is too cute! Its amazing...inspiration is everywhere if you just open your mind to it. Love this piece very much. I love the conbination of media.
Really creative! I love the hearts on the cats and their sweet expressions! Colors are great too!-Marlene
What a happy piece you have created here....it really makes me smile.
You must have a great collection of beads and charms...the ones you used here are unusual and "charming"!
Happy Solstice to you.
Barb,
Love the whole piece...all so folk art in a way and just very whimsical! It reminds me of a song from the 70's called
Our House"...with two cats in the yard, life used to be so hard...now everything is easy cuz of you..."
really! It could be the cover for that song!
Very cool.
And about being behind?
I just finished March, so don't feel alone...
Take care!

Ooooooh, Barb!!! Yes! Please keep doing more BJPs... Your work makes me soooooooooo happy... the whimsey and the fabulous hand stitching!!!! Your white kitty and her black friend are totally charming, as is the leaf and the house... This is the type of art most appealing to me... wish I could take lessons from you in getting wild and crazy.

LOVE this! It feels so cozy and wonderful. I'd like to live there.
Ah... this is absolutely delightful Barbara. I especially like the way you've done the black cat; he just wants to get in on the picture :-)
Thanks everyone for your really lovely comments and encouragement. I agree, it would be a nice little world to live in, wouldn't it.
Barbara as always is a joy to visit your blog and see the beautiful things you do.
