I live in NSW, Australia. I love exploring textile arts. I enjoy making art quilts incorporating beading and contemporary embroidery. I also like dabbling in painting and Mixed Media collage. I love colour. I'm inspired by nature, music and locations like India, Nepal, Bali, Thailand, Morocco and South America. I love meeting people from all over the world, so thank you for dropping by to read my blog.
I bought this tissue paper today from K-mart in the Christmas section. I love the designs. I think I will have to use this in some of my work. Its abit too nice just to wrap presents in and then have it thrown away.
Yes, it's very lovely. I have quite the collection of wrapping paper....I agree too pretty to be used for what it was intended. Every now and then I'll just pull them out and admire. Maybe one day I'll dabble into mixed media and put them to a better use.
Well I've gotta admitt I do have a draw full of lovely tissue paper but what I've been known to do is give it to someone that I'll be with when they open their pressie so I can retreive the paper as I love it torn & scrunched ... makes lovely backgrounds ... have fun ... OOroo ... Bethel of Bethania
Hi Darlene and Bethel of Bethania. Thanks for your comments. Good idea to use it for wrapping and then in artwork. It is abit flat just as it is. Would have abit more character in the work being torn and scrunched.
